A German Hanger is a modular aluminium structure that gives you a large, pillar-free covered area on any flat site. Our German Hanger Rental service covers clear spans from 6m to 60m, with length extendable in 5m increments, so you can build anything from a 135 sqm registration area to a 6,000 sqm exhibition floor. We deliver, install and dismantle across India.
The German Hanger Tent takes its name from the German-engineered box-truss system it uses. Aluminium trusses carry the load out to ground-anchored base plates, and a tensioned PVC-coated polyester membrane forms the roof. Nothing sits in the middle of the floor.
That matters more than it sounds. A conventional pandal needs internal props every few metres, which break sightlines, cut across stall layouts and waste usable area. A clear span structure hands you the entire footprint.
The frame is engineered for wind loading and the roof sheds rain without pooling. Side walls can be solid PVC, clear glazed panels or hard ABS walls, depending on whether you need weatherproofing, daylight or lock-up security.
| Clear span width | Eave height |
|---|---|
| 6m, 9m, 12m, 15m, 18m | 4 m |
| 20m, 25m, 30m | 5 m |
| 40m, 50m, 60m | 6 m |
Eave height is the clearance at the side wall — the working height at the edge of the structure. Centre height rises above this and increases with span width; we confirm the exact ridge figure at quotation stage.
Length is never the constraint. Every structure extends in multiples of 5m with no fixed maximum, so a 20m span can run 25m, 40m, 75m or further as your floor plan demands. Every German Hanger Aluminum Tent on Hire in our fleet is built on the same truss system, which means sections of different spans share fittings and can be combined on a single site.
| Span x Length | Floor area | Theatre style | Banquet seating |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9m x 15m | 135 sqm | 120 | 90 |
| 12m x 20m | 240 sqm | 215 | 160 |
| 15m x 25m | 375 sqm | 340 | 250 |
| 20m x 30m | 600 sqm | 545 | 400 |
| 25m x 40m | 1,000 sqm | 900 | 665 |
| 30m x 50m | 1,500 sqm | 1,360 | 1,000 |
| 40m x 60m | 2,400 sqm | 2,180 | 1,600 |
| 50m x 80m | 4,000 sqm | 3,630 | 2,665 |
| 60m x 100m | 6,000 sqm | 5,450 | 4,000 |
Capacities are calculated at 1.1 sqm per guest for theatre style and 1.5 sqm per guest for banquet seating.
Read these as gross floor figures. A stage, aisles, buffet counters, an entry lobby or a bar will typically absorb 15-25% of the area, so your final seated numbers are confirmed once the floor plan is drawn. Send us your guest count and we will work backwards to the span you actually need.
The 40m, 50m and 60m spans are worth noting. Most rental suppliers in India stop at 25m or 30m, which forces you into two structures and a joint where one clear span would have done the job.
Exhibitions and trade fairs use the large spans for column-free stall grids. Wedding planners use the 20m to 30m range for banquet halls, dining pavilions and mandap covers. Industrial clients take German Tent on Hire for temporary warehousing during plant expansion, monsoon stock cover or inventory overflow. Sports bodies, government departments and defence establishments use them for ceremonies, drills and relief operations.
German Tent Rental converts a large capital purchase into a per-event cost. Buying commits you to warehousing several tonnes of aluminium and PVC between uses, plus transport assets, a trained erection crew and annual fabric replacement.
Hiring moves all of that to us. You get a structure sized to the event in front of you rather than the one you bought three years ago, and you are not carrying idle stock through the off-season.
Pricing is quoted on span, length, rental duration and site location. [internal link: German Shed on Rent] for smaller pitched-roof requirements.
As a German Hanger Supplier working pan-India, we handle delivery and installation in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Jaipur, Goa and Coimbatore, along with project sites well outside these cities. Our crews travel with the structure.
Tell us your guest count or floor area, your dates and your site location, and we will come back with a span recommendation, a layout and a quotation. Call our team or send an enquiry to start your German Hanger Rental booking. For large spans and peak wedding or exhibition season, book early — availability closes first on the 40m and above.
Anywhere from 90 to over 4,000, depending on the size you choose. A 15m x 25m structure seats around 340 theatre style or 250 banquet style, while a 40m x 60m holds roughly 2,180 or 1,600. Capacity scales directly with floor area, and length can be extended in 5m steps to reach your number.
For 1,000 banquet-seated guests, a 30m x 50m structure works at 1,500 sqm. If your event is theatre style, a 25m x 40m at 1,000 sqm covers the same headcount comfortably. Add area if you need a stage, buffet lines or a separate entry lobby, since those reduce the seated floor.
We stock clear spans of 6m, 9m, 12m, 15m, 18m, 20m, 25m, 30m, 40m, 50m and 60m. Every span is pillar-free across its full width. Length is independent of span and extends in multiples of 5m, so you can match almost any site dimension or floor area requirement.
Eave height is 4m for spans from 6m to 18m, 5m for 20m to 30m spans, and 6m for 40m, 50m and 60m spans. This is the side-wall clearance. The centre height is higher and varies with the span width, and we confirm that figure when we quote your structure.
There is no fixed maximum length. Bays add in multiples of 5m, so the structure grows to whatever your site and floor plan allow — 30m, 80m, 150m or beyond. The clear span width stays constant along the full run, which keeps the interior completely free of internal columns.
Cost is quoted on four factors: span width, total length, rental duration and site location. Flooring, air conditioning, walling type and facade work are priced separately as add-ons. Send us your requirement with dates and location and we will issue an itemised quotation rather than a rough figure.
A mid-size structure of 20m to 30m span is typically erected in two to four days, with dismantling faster at roughly half that. Larger spans and long runs need more time and a bigger crew. Ground conditions, access for trucks and cranage, and any flooring work all affect the schedule.
Yes, when installed correctly. The aluminium frame is engineered for wind loading and anchored to ground stakes or concrete ballast assessed for each site. The tensioned PVC roof drains rather than pools. For monsoon-season or coastal sites we increase anchoring and can fit heavier walling.
Yes. We supply raised platform decking, carpet, vinyl and matting, and can level uneven ground before the structure goes up. Cooling options run from industrial fans to ducted air conditioning sized to the enclosed volume. AC works best with solid or glazed walls fitted rather than open sides.
Four to eight weeks is comfortable for most events. During peak wedding season and the exhibition calendar, the 40m, 50m and 60m spans commit several months ahead. For temporary warehousing and other non-seasonal work, shorter notice is usually workable depending on fleet availability at that time.
