Temporary Warehouse Structure

A temporary warehouse gives you covered industrial space without civil construction. The frame is bolted together on your existing surface and mechanically anchored, so there is no foundation work, no curing time and no permanent alteration to the site. Shridhar Tent House supplies, installs and dismantles temporary warehouse structures for manufacturing, logistics and distribution clients across Bangalore and pan India, on rental and long-lease terms.

How a Temporary Warehouse Differs From Permanent Construction

A conventional shed ties up capital, takes months and leaves you with an asset you cannot move. A temp warehouse tent is engineered for speed and reversibility. Spend moves from capital expenditure to operating expenditure, the covered area is available in a fraction of the time, and when the requirement ends we dismantle and remove the structure or relocate it to another plant or site.

Clear Span Widths and Eave Heights

Every structure is column-free across its full width, so the entire floor plate is usable for racking, material movement and vehicle access.

Clear span width Eave height Typical application
9 m, 12 m, 15 m 4 m Site stores, workshop cover, overflow inventory, compact storage bays
20 m, 25 m, 30 m 5 m Racked storage, forklift and pallet movement, production support space
40 m, 50 m, 60 m 6 m Distribution and logistics operations, bulk material handling, high-stack racking, heavy vehicle access

Eave height increases with span, as listed above. Wind load, anchoring design and any project-specific structural data are confirmed at site survey stage and available on request.

Modular Length in 5 Metre Bays

Bay spacing is 5 m on every span. Length is built up in 5 m increments to a maximum of 240 m — 48 bays — and that 240 m ceiling applies uniformly to every width from 9 m to 60 m. It does not reduce for narrower spans, which is where many systems on the market stop short.

A 30 m span at 100 m length uses twenty bays and delivers 3,000 sqm of column-free floor. The largest single configuration is 60 m wide by 240 m long, giving 14,400 sqm under one roof. Requirements beyond that are met by installing structures in parallel blocks. Because the frame is modular, bays can be added or removed later as your storage requirement changes, without redesigning the structure. Request a site survey.

Where a Temporary Industrial Shed on Hire Makes Sense

Build Specification

Choosing the Right Span

Start from your racking layout and material handling equipment rather than from total area. Reach truck aisles and double-deep racking generally need the 20 m to 30 m band and its 5 m eave. High-stack racking, container handling and trailer turning circles call for the 40 m to 60 m band at 6 m eave. Short-term site stores and workshop cover are usually well served by the 9 m to 15 m band. Aluminium hangar structures.

What Affects the Cost

Rental is quoted against clear span width and eave height, number of 5 m bays and total covered area, rental duration, ground conditions, accessories specified, site location and transport distance, and installation complexity. We quote against a surveyed layout rather than a standard rate card, so the figure reflects your actual site.

Installation Across Bangalore and Pan India

Our erection crews work across Bangalore's industrial belts — Peenya, Bommasandra, Hoskote, Nelamangala, Whitefield and the KIADB estates — and deploy to project sites nationally, including Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. The sequence is consistent: site survey, load and layout planning, fabrication and dispatch, installation, handover, maintenance support during the hire period, and dismantling on completion. Inventory and crews are our own, not subcontracted. German shed on hire.

Request a Quotation

Send us your required covered area, ground type and hire duration, and we will propose a span and bay configuration with a firm quotation. Site surveys in and around Bangalore are arranged at short notice.

FAQ Section

What sizes of temporary warehouse are available on hire?

Clear spans are available at 9 m, 12 m and 15 m with a 4 m eave height, 20 m, 25 m and 30 m with a 5 m eave, and 40 m, 50 m and 60 m with a 6 m eave. Length extends in 5 m bays up to 240 m on every span.

How large can a single temporary warehouse structure be?

The largest single configuration is a 60 m clear span at 240 m length, which gives 14,400 sqm of column-free covered area. The 240 m maximum length applies to every span width we supply. For larger requirements we install multiple structures in parallel blocks across the available site area.

How quickly can a temp warehouse tent be installed?

Far faster than permanent construction, since there is no foundation or curing stage. Actual duration depends on span, number of bays, ground condition and site access, and is confirmed after survey. Fabrication and dispatch scheduling is shared with the installation programme so you can plan operations around handover.

Do I need building approval for a temporary warehouse?

Requirements vary by location, land use and hire duration. Because these structures are anchored rather than founded and are treated as temporary, approvals are often simpler than for permanent sheds. We recommend confirming with your local authority or plant compliance team, and we provide drawings and specifications to support any application.

Will a temporary warehouse withstand monsoon rain and wind?

The PVC-coated polyester fabric is waterproof and flame retardant, and roof geometry is designed to shed water. Anchoring is specified against the ground type at your site — concrete, asphalt or compacted soil. Wind load design data for your configuration is confirmed at survey stage and provided on request.

Can the structure be extended after installation?

Yes. The frame is modular at 5 m bay spacing, so bays can be added or removed without redesigning the structure, up to the 240 m length limit. This lets you scale covered area as inventory volumes change. Span width is fixed once installed, so size the width for your medium-term requirement.

What does a temporary industrial shed on hire cost?

Rental depends on clear span and eave height, number of 5 m bays and total covered area, hire duration, ground conditions, accessories such as shutters and lighting, and site location and transport distance. We quote against a surveyed layout rather than a standard rate, so the price reflects your actual site.

What ground preparation or flooring is required?

Concrete and asphalt surfaces are ideal and take mechanical anchoring directly. Compacted soil and hard standing are workable with the appropriate anchoring system. Where the existing surface is unsuitable for your stored goods or handling equipment, we supply flooring as part of the scope. Ground condition is assessed during survey.

Can the warehouse be relocated to another site later?

Yes. The structure is fully demountable, which is one of its main advantages over permanent construction. Our crews dismantle, transport and re-erect it at the new location. This is common for construction projects moving between sites and for manufacturers shifting temporary capacity between plants.

Do you supply temporary warehouses outside Bangalore?

Yes. Bangalore is our base and we work across Peenya, Bommasandra, Hoskote, Nelamangala, Whitefield and the KIADB industrial estates, but we deploy pan India with our own erection crews, including to Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. Transport distance is factored into the quotation.
